Honoring My Teachers

Honoring My Teachers

I offer deep appreciation, and humble gratitude to my teachers Shaelah Morris, Janet Stone, Rusty Wells, and Stephanie Snyder. However, the most important teachers in my life are you, the students. Every student that I am blessed to serve, teaches me more about yoga than any teacher training, workshop, or yoga text ever will. I am constantly in awe at the power of this practice. I have watched students experience the deepest levels of transformation by simply showing up, breathing, listening, moving, modifying, and being open to what arrives in front of them.

I am humbled, again and again, watching students move through their fears, and self induced limitations, finding the courage to build strength, flexibility, and balance in their lives. I give thanks, to all of you, for the profound gifts you give me. The simple reminder that we are all students, in this life, together.

My Prayer To Teachers

“I bow to teachers past, I bow to teachers present, I bow to teachers yet to come, I bow to the teacher of truth, I bow to the teacher of love, I bow to what I believe in, I bow to what I don’t, and I humbly bow at the feet of all my teachers, each and every one of you, offering it all away.”

There is a beautiful saying, “When the student is ready, the teacher arrives.” This has always been the case for me on my journey. May it be yours as well.
